Chinese research institutions with ties to the People’s Liberation Army used Meta’s open-source Llama artificial intelligence model to develop an #Artificial Intelligence tool with potential military applications, Reuters reported. In an academic paper published in June, Chinese researchers including those at the PLA’s research body, talked about how they used Llama to build an AI model called ChatBIT, the report said.
